Czech U19 wins it in the first period
06.11.2011 Day three of the EuroFloorball Tour in Helsinki took off with Switzerland and Czech Republic playing each other at 9 am. The Czechs practically won the game in the first period leaving the Swiss last in the standings with a 5-2 win. Switzerland got one point as they won the penalty shootout. Gabriela Zurkova scored the first goal of the day off a beautiful pass from Lucie Zemanova. In the middle of the period, Karin Vavreckova scored the Czechs'second with a shot from the distance. Five minutes it was time for number three, this time by Leona Mullerova who got the ball home with her to celebrate her first goal for the national team. In the second period, the level of play dropped somewhat but Czech was able to score another one when Aneta Simodova directed the ball in from close range. After two periods, the game looked decided but the Swiss had not yet given up. Fabien Walther scored their opener at 45.45 and the team's newly found control of play soon brought them another goal. Switzerland pressed hard to get even but Czec's Lucie Srotova scoring at 58.55 put an end to their effort. In the penalty shootout, Fabienne Walther's and Laura Marandaz' goals won it for the Swiss as Denisa Ratajova was the only Czech player to score. PhotosMatch summary
